The Potato Problem is a fun carnage-filled puzzler in which you attempt to stop as many people (the Potatoes) from being wiped out in horrific traffic accidents as possible – often by sacrificing a few Potatoes in the process!
At the start of each level in The Potato Problem you’re given you’re shown a scene frozen in time and can plan your actions. If you just press play and don’t interfere with anything in the scene then it will play out and a majority of your Potatoes will be wiped out in a horrific accident. It’s up to you to figure out the key actions to perform that will minimise the amount of casualties in the level.
There’s a nice variety of different actions you’ll be able to perform during the game – ranging from using traffic lights to stop cars to luring the potatoes away with donuts. A lot of the time the solution to the level requires you to sacrifice a few Potatoes for the greater good – a little like The Trolley Problem but with way more carnage.
It’s a fun game with charming low poly visuals, inventive puzzle design and plenty of OTT Potato murdering mayhem. Highly recommended.
