The Red Giant is a short apocalyptic fishing game where you go fishing each day as the sun gets closer and closer.
Created for the Goodbye Summer game jam, The Red Giant follows the final five days of a fisherman whose world is about to be consumed by the Sun. Each day you go out and catch fish by quickly pressing button sequences. Each day you also learn a little about the impending apocalypse and each day the Sun creeps ever closer.
It’s a simple but effective little game with great pixel art visuals and an old serenity to your impending doom. If the entire world’s going to end, why not spend your final days fishing?
