The Sword Witch’s Apprentice is a parry-focused narrative-driven sword combat game where you become a sword witches apprentice and battle powerful foes.
In The Sword Witch’s Apprentice you are the titular apprentice and must learn the ways of the sword from a powerful sword witch. The combat uses the left, right and up cursor keys (or W,A and D) and sees you using those keys to parry in different directions and then attack. Your attacks also need to be in certain directions as they perform different magic-infused attacks that are only effective depending on the type of attack your rival used.
Taking around 10-15 minutes to play through, it’s a great little game with tons of style, challenging tactical combat and an intriguing story. An apprenticeship well worth accepting.
