The Tender Cut is a surreal first person first person puzzle game inspired by the “Il etait une fois” scene from Luis Bunuel’s movie “Un Chien Andalou” that features some disturbing imagery and some particularly bad things done to eye balls.
Taking around ten minutes to play, The Tender Cut isn’t a full on horror game, but it is remarkably unsettling, with a creepy, surreal atmosphere that’s both uncomfortable and mesmerising. Set entirely in one room, gamepaly revolves around solving some rather obscure puzzles that involve every day items causing surrealistic consequences. This means a bit of experimentation and paying attention to all the visual cues to make it to the ending (of which there are two).
The Tender Cut is certainly not for the squeamish, but it’s a truly captivating experience from start to finish. A Stylish, surreal and strange experience that you can’t take your eyes off.
