THE WIND is a creepy little browser based retro horror adventure from Airdorf (creator of FAITH), which tells the tale of a tough and resourceful planeswoman who fends off attacks from supernatural entities.
THE WIND is based on an upcoming horror movie of the same name (which also looks good if this trailer is anything to go by) and puts you in the role of Lizzy, a plainswoman who lives in an isolated house and has some very unwelcome visitors. The gameplay and retro visual style is similar to Aidorf’s previous games (FAITH & FAITH II) and sees you carrying out different tasks each day, often ending with you using your shotgun to blast something that’s trying to kill you.
It’s a very short game that can be completed in under five minutes but THE WIND manages to squeeze a surprising amount of horror into its short play time. The narrative will probably make a little more sense once you’ve watched the movie but even as a standalone game it’s a great little slice of retro horror well worth checking out.
