The Zhukov Line is a short and fast paced industrial Sci-Fi horror game where you maintain a train as it transports some very dangerous livestock to a distant colony.
Drawing inspiration from Iron Lung, The Zhukov Line takes place on a train in a dystopian Soviet inspired future. You have been tasked with transporting livestock to a colony, but the livestock is big, powerful and wants to escape.
The livestock starts at the back of the train and you’re at the front. It keeps trying to smash through doors to get further up the train and if it reaches the front then it’s game over. You need to mix up sedatives and pump them into the correct carriages to slow down the livestock, but you’ll also have to maintain the energy core and repair any damage to your carriage too.
It’s a simple, but intense game that does a great job of making you feel on the back foot as you scrabble to contain the livestock. The audio design is particularly impressive and the game does a great job of fleshing out the game world outside of your small carriage. See if you can make it to the end of the line!
