Tiled Quest is a charming game that does the impossible – it takes those infuriating sliding tile puzzle games and makes them fun!
Each stage in Tiled Quest is a self contained puzzle, in which you must slide around the tiles so that the Knight can grab the sword, slay the dragon, then save the Princess. The Knight, dragon, sword and Princess are all on separate tiles, and you must maneuverer them to that they make only contact in the correct order.
This can be trickier than it seems – if two tiles touch that shouldn’t whilst you’re rearranging squares you’ll fail your quest. For example, if you rescue the Princess without slaying the dragon she’ll stab you by accident, or if the Princess tile touches the dragon’s tile then the dragon will kill the princess.
With its charming pixel art visuals, fun premise and deviously designed levels, Tiled Quest is a fun game that takes sliding tile puzzles to another level. A surprisingly superb slider.
