Tiny Pixel Wars is a simple, fast paced and fun little pixel art RTS that sees you capturing houses, barracks, factories and airports as you attempt to overrun your enemy’s forces and destroy their base.
Tiny Pixel Wars offers a very streamlined, but addictive take on the RTS genre, with 1v1 player vs cpu skirmishes in procedurally generated maps. You can’t build structures, but you can capture them by shooting them with your gunner infantry units. Different structures do different things – houses earn you more cash, barracks allow you to train infantry units, factories allow you to build vehicles and airports allow you to build aircraft.
There’s a nice selection of units, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. It’s not too difficult to defeat the AI in the current build (a variable difficulty setting would be useful), but it’s still a fun little game. It’d be nice to see it expanded on in the future, but even in its current form it’s that’s perfect for short, fast paced bouts of RTS action.
