Train Depart is a weird little paranoid-filled horror game about a young boy travelling alone on a train in a foreign country.
Drawing inspiration from the Fears To Fathom series, in Train Depart you are a young boy who was on a flight and is now catching a train to visit family abroad. You can wander around the train and chat to strangers (some are cordial, some not), and you can play a simple clicker game on your computer. But things take a dark twist soon after and you’re not sure who you can trust anymore.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Train Depart has a few minor rough edges, but it’s a great little game that does a good job of instilling you with the paranoia of travelling alone in a foreign country. The environment and characters are well fleshed out and it takes some clever twists along the way. A train horror game well worth catching.
