Unsolved Case is a co-op multiplayer puzzle adventure where both players experience the game from different viewpoints and most work together to crack a case.
A free standalone prequel to Cryptic Killer, Unsolved Case is a narrative driven puzzle adventure where cooperation and communication aren’t just recommended, they’re absolutely necessary. Each player takes on the role of a different detective who is investigating a suspected copycat of a killer they put behind bars years ago. But is it a copycat? Did they convict the wrong person or has he found some way to kill from the asylum he’s locked up in?
Unsolved Case is played on separate screens, and because each player experiences it from their own detective’s viewpoint they need to share information to get the full picture of what’s going on and solve the puzzles. It’s a clever concept that works really well, actively promoting communication between players. The artwork and puzzle design are excellent too, and the fact that you can draw on anything adds a lot to the experience. Highly recommended.
