Venturous is an incredible Indiana Jones inspired Doom total conversion mod where you travel the world in search of Atlantis.
Drawing inspiration from Indianan Jones, Tomb Raider and The Mummy, Venturous is a Doom total conversion mod that follows an Indy-esque adventurer on an epic adventure. It takes place in the 1930’s and sees you on the trail of Nazis who are attempting to unlock the gate to the fabled city of Atlantis. You will explore ancient ruins in Mesoamerica and Egypt while also battling Nazis and mythical monsters. And perhaps eventually, you’ll set foot in Atlantis…
Taking 2+ hours to play through, and spread across seven large and distinct levels, Venturous is a very impressive total conversion mod. There are 19 weapons (including some very cool mana-powered ones) and there are lots of different enemy types, including a couple of big boss fights. The level designs are creative and packed full of great little details, with traps, shortcuts and cool ancient relics all over the place. It feels like an adventure Indy would have been proud to be a part of (and much better than his latest on-screen outings anyway). Highly recommended.
