VILE: Exhumed is a disturbing cyber-horror game where you delve into the depths of a 90’s PC and unravel a dark story of misogyny and abuse.
Released for free because it was banned from Steam, VILE: Exhumed sees you digging through the files hidden in an old computer to unearth a very unsettling story about a man who’s obsessed with an adult film star. It has themes of obsession, misogyny, entitlement, and consequences. There’s no nudity of pornography in the game at all, but it does allude to sexual assault and violence against women.
It’s a shame VILE: Exhumed was removed from steam, because it’s a well crafted game with a powerful story to tell. Thankfully we still get to pay it though and if you like the game you can support the developer through the website.
