War Of The Worlds 1913 is a short and stylish little Unreal Engine powered remake of H.G. Wells’ classic Sci-Fi novel, War of the Worlds.
Created by the talented Stefano Cagnani (creator of Tarantula 1955 and The Mummy 1932) is a fun little experience that allows you to enter a 1910’s styled recreation of H.G. Wells’ War of the World. Lasting around six minutes, it takes place over two acts and follows two protagonists as – one at the start of the war and one at the end of the war.
There isn’t much in the way of gameplay in War Of The Worlds 1913, with you essentially just walking to different areas in the game and watching cutscenes play out, but the classic movie visual style is fantastic and it really immerses you in the experience. The puppet-like design of the alien tripods is particularly well done as it feels very much in keeping with the retro pulp Sc-Fi visual style.
