Watershed is an eerie PS1 styled underwater horror adventure where you venture into the murky depths of a house that’s been submerged in a flood.
Created for the HPS1 Summer of Shivers, Watershed is a creepy retro first person horror adventure where you take on the role of a rescue diver who is searching for survivors in a house that’s been flooded with water. After entering the house you do hear someone crying out for help, but the deeper you get the more things seem wrong and the stranger the architecture of the house becomes. Along the way you’ll also happen across various public safety announcements that tell of the perils of floodwater.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, it’s a great little game with an interesting fusion of underwater eldritch horror and public safety announcements. The PS1 styled visuals look great (particularly the view from the rooftop at the start) and you get a real feeling of impending doom as you descend to its depths. A very unique underwater horror game well worth diving into.
