Wonders Between Dunes is a fascinating first person exploration game set across a gigantic landscape filled with huge brutal architecture that makes you feel tiny in comparison.
Scale is everything in Wonders Between Dunes. You initially think that it’ll be a short walking simulator where you wander around some reasonably large temples. But then it goes on… and on… and on… and the structures bet bigger… and bigger… and bigger. Soon you find yourself engulfed in a massive sprawling city, the likes of which would have taken thousands of years to build in real life.
The enormity of the city truly is staggering and you don’t just admire it from afar – you actually make your way through it, travelling deep into its concerete belly. There’s nobody else areound and no living creatures, but as you skulk about in it’s depths you can almost hear it breathing. It is alive and it’ll still be alive long after you’re gone.
It really is a remarkbale experience taking in the sights and sounds of Wonders Between Dunes. The further you travel the more awestruck you are by the sheer enormity of it all and there’s always a new piece of archetecture to marvel in its sprawling concerete city. Highly recommended.
