World Annihilation Operations: Space Manipulation is an incredibly trippy ray-traced Sci-Fi puzzle adventure that feels a lot like you’re playing through the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Space Manipulation is the fifth in the series of World Annihilation Operations games, but it’s not necessary to have played the previous instalments as they’re all standalone experimental adventures. It features a mixture of exploration, puzzles and areas where you just watch in awe as psychedelic Sci-Fi weirdness happens. For the puzzles there’s no hand-holding so you’ll need to figure out what you’re supposed to do yourself (though they’re fairly intuitive).
You’ll need a fairly powerful GPU to run World Annihilation Operations: Space Manipulation, but if you have the horsepower it’s an incredible game. The audio and the visuals pair up beautifully and each new area offers a different mind-blowing experience. A trip to the stars that’s well worth taking.
