Wurroom is a wonderfully weird point and click adventure set in a beautifully animated claymation universe full of surreal sights and strange surprises.
The stop-motion claymation animated world of Wurroom is a very strange place to explore, full of strange sculptures, bizarre beasts and surreal scenery. In the game you control a little plasticine hand with your mouse and use it to touch, interact and shape the various objects in the game world. A little like the Samorost games, your interactions can have some very unexpected results, but the world does follow some sort of twisted logic which you can use to solve the various strange puzzles you encounter on your adventure.
It takes around 10 minutes to play through Wurroom and it’s a delightful and unique experience from start to finish. It’s a shame claymation is used so rarely in video games as it gives the game world a very physical feel and allows for some very creative artwork. The trippy plasticine wonderland of Wurroom is a fascinating place to explore and it’s full of surreal artwork that wouldn’t be possible in a purely digital media. Highly recommended.
