Zero Grace is a fun little physics-based first person space game where you attempt to make your way through a space station in zero gravity.
Created for the Houdini Game Jam 2020, in Zero Grace you find yourself trapped inside a damaged space station with no gravity. You have no thrusters or means of movement when not in contact with any objects, but you can kick off walls/objects to gain momentum and you can grab onto various rails and pull yourself along them.
Zero Grace is a short game that it would be nice to see expanded on. It’s a lot of fun figuring out the intricacies of zero gravity movement and there’s a nice bit of problem solving as you make your way through the station. VR games have managed similar control schemes in the past, but it’s very unique for a standard screen first person game and it works remarkably well – once you’ve mastered it you can fling yourself around with a good bit of precision. A great little zero gravity space adventure well worth grabbing onto.
