Zom Nom is a lighthearted 2.5D side-scrolling puzzle platforming action adventure where you control a brain munching zombie as he fights his way through a post apocalyptic city to become President of the World!
In Zom Nom you control Barry, a shambling, drooling, brain-munching zombie with lofty ambitions. He wants to become the President of the World, but unfortunately the remaining living humans of the world aren’t going to make it easy.
There are many soldiers, traps and obstacles to navigate on your quest for undead world domination and you’re not the most nimble of characters, but you do have the ability to spit various zombie goos at enemies to kill them or at switches to activate them. You’ll also keep your hunger satiated and your health topped up by eating the brains of your various victims.
Taking around 20 minutes to play through, Zom Nom is a great little lighthearted take on the zombie apocalypse. It takes a little getting used to initially and plays far better with a mouse and keyboard than a controller, but it’s an impressive game. The 2.5D artwork is very well done, it offers a nice amount of challenge and it’s hard not to smile as Barry calls out form more brains. A zombie apocalypse adventure that’ll make you smile rather than scream.
