Zombie Outbreak Arena is a fast and fun browser based top-down zombie arena shooter with lots of powerful weapons, cool power-ups, unlockable upgrades and AI helpers that come to help fend off the swarms of zombies.
The goal of Zombie Outbreak Arena is simple – try to survive for as long as possible against the hordes of attacking zombies. You start armes with a puny little pistol, but there are lots of weapons, special ammo and power-ups to collect – such as miniguns, exploding bullets and night-vision goggles.
You can also use your points earned in the arena to unlock permanent upgrades, such as regenerating health, better night vision and faster fire rates. Interestingly, now and again you’ll be joined by other AI controlled survivors who help draw off zombies and take down a few – you don’t want to get too close to them though as they have a habit of shootin you too!
It can feel a little too easy at times depending on the weapon you have at hand and you run out of upgrades to purchase quite quickly, but it’s great for a short blast of top-down zombie blasting fun. The guns all feel great, the action is intense and it’s got a very cool visual style.
