Contradiction is a Contra-stlye retro run and gun side scrolling action platformer with challenging old school arcade combat, which sees you battling all manner of bionic horrors after a Skynet style AI has been unleashed on the world.
Set in an alternate 1920, in Contradiction (or Contra-diction) you take on the role of Billy Lancer, a commando from the Contradiction Unit who is send to take down an evil mastermind who has unleashed a malevolent AI upon the world. What this means for you is a well crafted Contra style retro side scrolling arcade action packed full of enemies, power-ups and deadly boss fights.
Much like Contra, it’s a very tough game that requires real skill to even make it past the first boss. It’s very impressive though, with excelent retro pixel art visuals, a great chiptune soundtack and fun gameplay. A fabulous retro run n gun romp well worth checking out.
